Matt's Casbah is one of those trailblazing restaurants that makes you appreciate that there are a small minority of restaurants where the Chef and or owner truly care about the food they serve. 20 years ago Matt opened a new American cuisine dining experience in Indian Harbor Beach named appropriately Matt's Tropical Grill. Matt bridged the gap between fine dining and the New American movement. When Matt moved to downtown Melbourne he brought his innovative menu and stylings to the gutted and renovated Pop's Casbah. Matt was the first to serve goat cheese in Brevard as a topping on the warm nutted Goat cheese salad. That salad is just as good today as it was 20 years ago. They also serve the prime cuts of sushi you are hard pressed to find anywhere, with a great array of rolls thoughtfully created. What separates Matt's from his competition is a revolving menu of specials handcrafted and presented in an eye appealing fashion. I give a strong recommendation to Matt's Casbah.
