On a constant quest for the ideal breakfast, we chose Too Cool Cafe. Order: strawberry Crepes with Nutella, bayou home fries and side of biscuits and gravy.
Let me state that the ambiance, presentation and service are exceptional. Prompt and efficient. Full knowledge of the menu on point. However, this is where the exceptionalism ceases.
The crepes were over sauced and lacking even the flavor of Nutella. The strawberries were hard. The bayou fries saved the day. Fresh cut potatoes properly cooked and seasoned. The prices here are not cheap so when I order biscuit and gravy I expect a real biscuit. This was not. It was out of a Sysco pre made flat rip and serve. I had higher expectations.
Give em a try. They season their eggs and care about the food they serve.
