Whenever, I try a restaurant that serves food I am not accustomed too I try to be fair and not ding an establishment because I am not acquainted with the style or method. This brings me to Peace In The Garden Cafe. This cafe is helmed by two very cheerful ladies. The service was fantastic. I ordered unsweet green tea and the Triple Combo which consists of hummus, tuna salad and deconstructed Tabouli salad. It is arranged on a bed of fresh greens. Every item here is homemade. The presentation was gorgeous. Now for the unpleasant. I had an option of three homemade dressings. Honey Mustard, Raspberry Vinaigrette and Shiitake Mushroom. The Raspberry Vinaigrette was my choice. It was a bad choice. It was super super sweet. I asked for the other two to be brought over for an extra $4.00 charge. The Honey Mustard was even sweeter than the Vinaigrette. The shiitake mushroom was bland and flavorless. The tuna salad may have been made there but it was not seasoned at all. The deconstructed Tabouli was tart and tasty. The hummus had great fresh flavor. I enjoyed eating it. This really should be two stars but I liked the owners. You will need to look closely to find this place because the sign is faded to almost unreadable.
