Pico Alto PHC Peruvian Restaurant – CLOSED

Friday 10 March, 2017

Whenever a new restaurant opens in this sleepy county it is always met by me with great anticipation. Pico Alto caught my attention due to its focus on original Peruvian cuisine. Let me get the bad out of the way upfront. There is no parking except for parking meters. The Town will give them bags for the meters but for some reason the owner will not get them. I carefully explained the process. Second, THE SERVICE IS HORRID!!! So be prepared to wait and you will need to flag down your server for every need. Now on to the positive.....THE FOOD.
I do not know whether this is authentic Peruvian or not but what I can tell you is it is very good.
I ordered Picante De Mariscos which is a smorgasbord of fresh seafood carefully prepared in a rich creamy sauce spiced with paprika. Each bite has a comfortable kick. The side of rice was nothing to write home about but clearly this dish is a must try.
