Trend Kitchen- Indian Harbor Beach 4 Stars
Trend Kitchen is part of the New American food movement with a hint of French flair. This pleasantly decorated establishment has a warm comfortable feeling which is not easy to do in the limited space afforded for dining. We were greeted by the new owner. She is bubbly and very excited to explain her food vision and the dining experience to come.
I started with the Pork Belly appetizer and the Foie Gras appetizer. I am a huge mark for Foie. The Foie itself was cooked perfectly. The presentation was impeccable. Unfortunately, the plate was out of balance. There were dried raisins below the Foie that threw the dish off. In fact this is the sole reason for the 4 star instead of 5 stars. I ordered the tomahawk steak. It was so big it hung off the table like an abatis holding back charging troops. Let me tell you this steak was cooked to perfection and the meat literally melted in my mouth. It has been sautéed in a butter and garlic sauce that almost brought tears to my eyes.
Trend Kitchen is a good restaurant and the Big Boy says try it.
